Hearing level and its relationship with academic performance in students of an educational institution in Lima

Introduction: Hearing is the usual way to acquire language, which allows us development of thought and knowledge; hearing loss can affect ability learn communicate in children cause alterations their behavior academic performance. Objective: To determine relationship between level performance primary school students from a public educational institution Lima. Methods: Observational, correlational cross-sectional study. Otoscopy audiometry were performed 94 sixth year Santa Rosa de Lima institution, Los Olivos-Lima. Was used otoscope, audiometer final grades each student first semester 2022 as instruments. The was analyzed using Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient. Results: 35.1% had mild 64.9% normal loss. average sample 14.74; normoacusic students, 14.89 impaired, 14.48. In análisis, it found positive (0.200). Conclusions: There grade Lima- Olivos institution.
